I’ve been in Ponte Vedra my whole life, have taken my prom dresses there and knew I trusted them with my wedding gown!

When was your wedding?

We were married on April 2nd, 2022.

What was the name of your venue and why did you choose it?

Our venue was the Sonesta Resort Hilton Head Island. My dad worked at the resort for a long time, and I loved how the outdoor venue overlooked the ocean!

How long did it take to plan your big day? Any vendors you’d like to recognize?

I planned it for over a year and a half! I couldn’t have done it without my mom or her friends, Michele and Anita. They helped me soooo much with every detail and made sure the day ran smoothly.

Who is the designer of your gown and where was it purchased?

I purchased my gown at Calvet Couture Bridal in Sawgrass Village.

When did you know that your gown was “the one?”

I always knew the type of dress I wanted and just went into the bridal salon one morning with my mom not expecting to buy a dress. Well, the first dress I tried on was the one! It was everything I wanted and I was so happy with my purchase.

Why did choose Oceanside for your gown’s alterations?

Everyone I knew recommended them!! My sister and my good friends all took their gowns to Oceanside. I’ve been in Ponte Vedra my whole life, have taken my prom dresses there and knew I trusted them with my wedding gown!

How did you and your husband meet?

Ponte Vedra High School! I thought he was cute so I added him on Snapchat and the rest is history.

What is your favorite memory from your wedding day?

Walking down the aisle was the most special moment from the day. Jack and I didn’t do a first look, so it was my first time seeing him that day. It was an amazing moment having all our family and friends there surrounding us. I had been dreaming of that moment with him since I was 16, so it was really surreal.

What made your wedding ceremony feel extra special?

We included a lot of family traditions! Our pastor had married 7 other Scully couples and we were so grateful to have him. We also had a cup that is used at every Scully wedding; we had to drink out of it at the same time, and legend has it the number of drops spilled is the number of children we will have!
